Producer Macapella AKA Andy Macfarlane lays down his first solo album on Mixkings Records and he’s brought a whole a host of MC’s with him.

Having previously worked with the likes of Nutso, Shabaam Sahdeeq and Royal Flush, Macapella continues to show he’s one of the UK hip hop’s finest beatsmiths.

For his self titled album Macapella brings on board a number of MC’s that he’s worked with before and the synergy is evident. Previously collaborators Wildleux, D Strong, SmooVth, Aarophat and King RA are all present on the album. In Macapella’s own words “it’s a real pleasure to have all these great emcees combine together again and all on one album”. Also featured are Task Rok, Click Tha Supa Latin and Father Focus Confucious. To top if off there’s also a verse from the legendary Prince Po on the track “Settle The Score”! All the MC’s sound right at home on the tracks and there’s always room for another listen to Macapella’s signature sound of classic boom bap drums, intricate melodies and strings.
