Winners of two Arias and four DMAs (Dance Music Awards) the 1200 Techniques return with their sophomore release ‘Consistency Theory’. This album sees Australia’s premier Hip-Hop act deliver on all of the promise their debut ‘Choose One’ promised. (‘Choose One’ has now sold over 26,000 copies).

The release of ‘Consistency Theory’ coincides with the bands appearance on the Big Day Out and is the culmination of six months of promotion and set-up activity which has included Aria nominations, 2 DMAs, a national tour, club promotions and strong video and radio play for ‘Eye of the Storm’ and ‘Where Ur At’.

The stature of the 1200 Techniques in the hip-hop community is shown by the number of people lining up to work with the band on their second album. ‘Consistency Theory’ features guests such as Xzibit cohort Krondon, Motion Man, Rodney P and Rashaad Haughton (brother of Aaliyah), the 1200s also share the love by inviting local hip-hop acts Koolism, Maya Jupiter and Naps to step up to the mic. The album is given a world class sound courtesy of Troy Hightower who has previously worked with the likes of Run DMC, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Redman and Janet Jackson.
