Ryan Hemsworth of Halifax, Nova Scotia has making beats for seven years. Now, at the ripe age of 21, he is taking the internet by storm with his oddly infectious instrumental projects. My first peek into Hemsworth’s world was his 2011 album, No Plans. On this album, Ryan haphazardly hoards 80’s pop, modern electro, funk, soul, dirty south production, and vintage Nintendo cuts, while blanketing them in crisp, hard hitting drums.
