BROKEN COMPLEX RECORDS
(BC) was formed in the heart of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley in 2004, as a independent record label and promotions company that sought to showcase talented local artists and musicians. It has since released 8 full length albums, and it’s diverse roster of artists have been featured in magazines (URB, Deli LA, etc.), nationwide tours (Warped Tour, Rock the Bells), and consistent college radio play. In addition, BC hosts the longest running live hip hop event in the San Fernando Valley: “Foundation”.
The new Broken Complex self titled album brings the entire BC roster; DJ Hoppa, DJ Silly Kid, Laz, Mine+US, Sirah, Cleen, General Populus, Uncle D, Max Star, together with special guests; Copywrite, Intuition, and Pigeon John to deliver an instant classic. Production is handled by DJ Hoppa, with DJ Silly Kid on the scratches. The individually skilled emcees compliment each other perfectly over Hoppa’s beats, bringing back the sound reminiscent of hip hop groups like the Wu Tang Clan, Pharcyde, and A Tribe Called Quest.
Currently, Broken Complex is promoting their new album to crowds across the country on their ‘Journey To The Blue Fox’ 2010 Tour.
