Ape & Undu – Jaw & Order (WEB) (2009)

Trap Jaw Affiliates/Sick-so Ent
90s based Hip Hop with an ecclectic array of soul and funk grooves riddled with flavor verses and huge hooks that’ll have you coming back for seconds.
Apeshit and Undu-kati started working in JAW & ORDER in 2006 soon after Ape bailed Undu out of Strafford County house of Corrections in Dover NH. The two would gather beats, freestyle non stop and tear stages down for the next three years before this masterpiece found completion in the summer of 2009. The two would spread the Trap Jaw vibe all over New England at any venue or radio station available creating a noteworthy buzz and gathering hardcore Hip Hop fans exponentially while still holding down full-time jobs. Apeshit’s FIREPOWER series and the success of the Monkey Biz (Apeshit, DC the MIDI Alien & DJ Illogix) album ANIMAL ODYSSEY along with THE TRAP JAW AFFILIATES Vol. I album kept fans rocking and thirsty for more, anticipating another substantial full lengh effort. This record from Ape & Undu is right there in the heat of the ever controversial Hip Hop vs. Rap debate and justifies the postition of two true school artists who have seen rap’s evolution through and through and have the golden era ideals at heart. You won’t find much of anything trendy on this project but you will hear well written and strongly delivered content that could grab the most skeptial stranger and pull them into a world holy Hip Hop righteousness with all different moods and B-Boy swagger to pull it all together. Many songs produced for this album that didn’t quite make the cut will surely show up on Apeshit’s FIREPOWER IV in spring/summer 2010. We have the utmost confidence that people everywhere will get a lot out of JAW & ORDER and we just hope that you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it. With guest appearances from Apathy, Statik Selektah, Reks, Termanology, Granite State, King Magnetic and many more, this record is packed full of action and emotion, and everything in between.
