Starting out as a live act, MC Dabbla and DJ Pierre
Green have since recruited MCs Pringle and Mention and
producer Sumgii to the crew. After success on pirate
radio and at local events, the group stepped up a gear
with their new members in place, supporting the likes
of Rahzel and Jeru the Damaja

This was all before a video popped up on You Tube
This was their first single, the now legendary Lips 2
Da Floor featuring Dubbledge and it proved to be the
real launch point for LDZ. After hearing that tune you
might (as I did), expect the mixtape to be based
solely on catchy anthems but it throws up a surprise
Though the verbal poundings are plentiful, with
everyone from Timbaland to Ashley Cole on the
receiving end, the tight delivery of the lyrics
combined with the variation of beats from Pierre Green
and Sumgii show that LDZ are not one dimensional, from
funkier numbers such as So Many Girls, to the dark and
socially conscious Cheddar

The explicit humour of the bouncy Get Your Tits Out
featuring Orifice Vulgatron, and their personal take
on Justin Timberlake s My Love (where they ask if I
sang you a melody, would you come out and give head to
me? ) are sure to follow in in the footsteps of the
grime parody, and tunes that will definitely get stuck
in your head for a while but don t expect the rest of
the album to follow suit. Released on 24th September
this is definitely one to check
