DESCRIPTION
The Queens emcee’s album went virtually unnoticed in the mid
nineties due to poor promotion and plenty of delays. Kwest
the Madd Lad disappeared from the scene for a long time and
later reconnected with his old A&R man, the producer for a
good portion of “This Is My First Album” from Rick Rubin’s
American Recordings label, providing him with rare studio
masters from many sessions recorded between ’92-94! It was
his label that swayed him into focusing more on his raunchy
sex-tales and humorous storytelling, and while the album was
still well received by true fans awaiting his return, Kwest
felt that it sidelined him from presenting more serious
concepts and battle rhymes. These are the tracks that didn’t
make it! Nostalgic!
